#6 The First Miraculous Catch of Fish
Can you imagine doing something on your own and it comes to nothing? Then Jesus comes along and asks you to do the same thing? What would your thoughts be? “No, way,” I would think. “I’ve done that already. But Peter was different. He told Jesus the facts, they fished all night and gained nothing, but Peter then obeyed. This story relates what obedience to Jesus brings. Read the story and answer the questions. Let Jesus bring goodness to your life too!
This page is another fun paper craft from Bible Crafts for Kids Miracles of Jesus series. We continue to follow Jesus as He performs His miracles and reveals the hearts of men. This Create-A-Page is completely different from other Bible Crafts For Kids pages in this series. As students learn the puzzle aspect of these pages they look forward to creating another and different craft page as the series continues. This Create-A-Page comes with the templates you will need to make the bow of the boat as well as the labels. It is helpful to put the “No fish” and the “More fish” labels on before you insert the boat into the base page.
The video explains how to make and assemble the kits so you may teach your students.
The lessons are in a two-page format and take about 15-20 minutes and make a great addition to the paper page. Be sure to download your copy as well.
Jesus catches fish. Whether He catches men or real net-breaking fish. Jesus pulls us all in and teaches us that obedience brings goodness. In this lesson there are two objectives you may take, one will focus on the goodness of Jesus and one will take the evangelism route. You choose. Follow Jesus on His travels around the Sea of Galilee as He performs His miracles.
The two page lesson, full color instructions and templates for the Create-a-Page activity is a printable download. You may print as many as you need for your students. You choose the papers and create a look that is different. In addition to the labels used in the activity, we include a Memory Verse Card that is a takeaway. You may use this as additional learning material or for memorization at home or in the classroom.
The labels in the download are formatted to an 8.5 X 11-inch sheet of paper. For the base page, we use a 12 X 12 and cut and fold it in many ways.
Either after assembly or at the kit making stage, the pages may be bound using binding holes.
The download is yours to keep to use again and again but is not to be used for selling either as a digital product or a physical page.
Make the Create-A-Page Unique
Using a heavier cardstock helps with folding and unfolding as the students show off their creations. We use a 60-80 lb on our pages. Any paper will work that will go through the printer, however, the heavier paper seems to hold up better.
Embellishments are a welcome addition in the form of punches, stickers, enamel dots, ribbon or anything you would like to choose. Adding embellishments add more manipulation to your pages and extends your time frame for this craft.
The additional materials you will need is one large paper clip. Paper, scissors, and glue. You may purchase everything you need at one of our affiliate links.
